Commercial Drones for Ardivan Enterprises: Sci-fi or Reality?

Have you heard of commercial drones?

Yes, I am referring to the unmanned air vehicles (UAV’s) or drones which recently gain popularity all over Canada. Unlike the UAV’s used by military as aid to their operations, these drones are now commercially available and legal under the Canada law. Many businesses like  the aerial survey and mapping companies are now taking advantage of the convenience brought by these vehicles; others like Domino Pizza are also dreaming  of their  pizza delivery by drones (check it here). In addition, top company like Amazon is also preparing of packages delivery by drones in the the near future  (Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos interview here).

We can’t deny the fact that there are some people who are really against this idea. But personally, I guess there are many advantages than disadvantages in using drones. We are thinking of acquiring one in the future if proven to be a viable technology. We like the idea of using the vehicle in delivering cans of paint and other painting materials to the site. In this way, we can save from the transportation costs and the hassles of getting back and forth from the office to the working site and the paint store. Also, we can eliminate the delays due to the travel time and most importantly our painters can now directly go to our clients without worrying about the materials needed.

Sounds perfect right?

But one thing we are not sure of is if it can detect another drone or foreign thing coming its way especially if all commercial establishments acquire one for business purposes. It will be a disaster then if a collision happens. Well, the potential of commercial drones as an automated delivery machine cannot be denied so we’re pretty sure there are dedicated software developers that will enhance the technology in the coming months.
